The Challenge

A freight operation was pricing loads on a single flat truck-average rate — one blanket rate applied to every shipment regardless of its actual profile. A mode-aware orchestration engine that analyzes each load and confirms or corrects the shipping mode before the quote is set — replacing one-size-fits-all pricing with a precise, per-load decision. When the flat rate would have mispriced a shipment, the engine flags it, corrects the mode, and shows the exact amount recovered on that load, right at the point of quoting.

The Result

Pricing shifted from a blunt flat average to accurate, per-load decisions. The engine surfaces the net correction across every shipment — recovering margin that the flat-rate approach had been silently giving away, load after load — and gives the operation clear visibility into the value of every routing decision.
